Did you know Chessiepets is Certified by the USDA as an Intermediate Handler,  and offers a variety of pet taxi and pet shipping services?  Below is a snapshot of some of our pet transport options:

* Local Pet Taxi

Chessiepets is happy to serve our local Community with our licensed and insured pet taxi options.  Great for families visiting us for the day for Doggie Daycare, or even for a trip to the Vet for general health visits and vaccinations.

* Airport Pet Pick-Up or Transport to Airport

Serving many of our Military families over the years, and Civilians too, Chessiepets can pick up and/or deliver your pet at/to Dulles, BWI, or National Airport, for safe transport back to our Pet Resort, or to another location of your choice.  We'll assist with all the steps needed with your specific Airline so everything is worry-free.  We recommend Pet Airways as the best choice to fly your pet, as opposed to cargo in the belly of the plane, with flights in and out of Baltimore and Washington, DC, as well. 

* National & International Pet Shipping

Travelling by plane across the Country or Internationally?  Let Chessiepets walk you through all the paperwork and preparations for your pets flight on Pet Airways, or other carrier.

* Cross Country Pet Taxi

Don't want to send you pets by plane?  We'll even transport your pets in our climate controlled van across the State, or across the Country, with Chessiepets Staff you already know and trust.  Fully licensed and insured.

Call or email us at SusanCares@chessiepets.com to request availability and a quote.  Due to the number of variables for each Pet Taxi or Pet Shipping request, quotes are developed on an individual basis. Be sure to include the following information as applicable in your request:

• Pet Owner (s) Name, address (no P.O. boxes), phone numbers
• Departure location and Destination location
• Name of airline carrier or other transportation service
• Shipping date and flight arrival and departure times 
• Exact dimensions of airline approved shipping container in inches (length x width x height)
• Total number of animals for transport or shipment
• Breed, age, and approximate weight of the animal(s)
• Description of any special needs requests, health issues, medication needs, or pet aggression or beaviorial issues
• Veterinarian name, address, phone number 
• Amount of insurance
• Payment method
